Brief Summary of position:

The Maintenance Supervisor assists all 3 shifts and all departments to operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently as far as all equipment necessary to meet all production needs and standards.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proactively supervises plant maintenance and identifies current and furture maintenance requirements.
  • Supervises and assists with plant maintencance budget: including preparation, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensures all department and organizational training is completed and recorded appropriately according to organizational guidelines.
  • Supervises the maintenance inventory (spare/repair critical parts and tools) to ensure availability

  • Effectively supervises work priorities, ensuring production operation.
  • Communicates with all managers and supervisors across departments and shifts to determine condition of operations and priorities.
  • Supervises work assignments and holds staff accountable for these assignments and resulting equipment performance.
  • Promotes safety among plant employees and serves as a key part of the Plant Safety Committee.
  • Resovles any employee issues and documents superior performance recognitons and disciplinary actions for all employees
  • Supervises the compliance of all federal, state, local, and company safety and quality policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 2 years experience in Maintenance in a manufacting plant preferred. Prefer bakery or food/beverage manufacturing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience  in a supervisory capacity (or 5 years as Lead) in a manufacturing plant required.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilites

  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations and AIB standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Possess good computer skills
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Certified for Allen Bradley PLC programming or equivalent preferred
