Our Mission Foods Distribution Center in New Brighton, MN is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to proudly work at this facility on 2nd shift.

 

Salary Range: $55k-$68,500k BOE

As the Distribution Center (DC) Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of warehouse operations, while leading a team of distribution center associates in efficiently and effectively executing shipping/receiving responsibilities safely, productively and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Warehouse Supervisor is a key player in our supply chain operation, ensuring all DC operations run smoothly so we can ensure merchandise is being received, processed, stored, packed and shipped properly to help us achieve our mission to get the right products to the right stores at the right time!

Essential Functions

  • Supervises the overall activities of the warehouse including the directing, advising and managing of direct and indirect subordinates to ensure strong team member team performance
  • Ensures employees are effectively performing assigned tasks and evaluates performance at appropriate intervals
  • Monitors and ensures productivity and accuracy standards are maintained throughout the appropriate areas within the DC.
  • Read, understand and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports; use these reports to evaluate DC’s performance
  • Responsible for the proper rotation of product
  • Conducts daily cycle counts and reconciles variances to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained and accounted for. Communicates product shortages with the production scheduler
  • Problem-solve and identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Maintains an appropriate staffing level within each shift to accomplish the Distribution Centers goals.
  • Reviews returned product for proper credit disposition and credit code reporting.
  • Enters data into SAP system and WMS according to work instructions.
  • Support and maintain all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation.
  • Verifies equipment is in good working condition; communicates to management any deficiencies noted.
  • Performs visual inspection of product ensuring quality is acceptable.
  • Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned.
  • Completes the First Day Safety Orientation for New Hires.
  • Verifies all personnel are present and well suited to work
  • Trains new employees and monitors and evaluates their progress (includes Safety, HAACP & Food Safety); recommends transfers and promotions
  • Fills in for WHS- Manager in absence
  • Conducts monthly Safety training meetings and participates in communication meetings
  • Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements
  • Verifies GMP’s and Safety standards are maintained at all times and take action and/or follow-up when deficiencies are noted
  • Consistently applies company rules per employee handbook and per company policies (i.e. attendance, safety, etc.) and ensures safety regulations, policies and procedures are followed
  • Monitors ADP schedules, timecards, and prepare all HR – related paperwork, including disciplinary actions, ESNs, Attendance Forms, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard
  • Ensures all food safety principles and legal requirements have been applied effectively
  • Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends
  • Other duties, as assigned

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education: College Degree Desired- Some College Preferred

Experience: Min 2+ years Fulfillment or Distribution Center Experience,

Previous experience managing diverse teams of 20+ associates

Certification: Forklift Certified
