Corn Production Manager- Plainview,TX

General Summary

Under the direction of Corporate Corn Operations Director, the Corn Operations Manager (COM) is responsible for the procurement of corn operations at the AM Plainview TX, Plant. The COM is responsible for hiring, training and coaching subordinate team members at the plant.  Is also responsible for commitment to meetings and corporate mandates as required and assigned.

Essential Functions

• Supervise and provide the resources to personnel within the corn department
• Create and maintain corn sanitation wastewater budgets.
• Administer correlated expenses and costs.
• Advise and direct sanitation and wastewater program.
• Purchase corn according to the AM Plainview, policies and requirements.
• Direct the section of rail programs.
• Acts as a liaison between director of corn and local management leadership team.
• Able to do contract negotiation and have good relationship with corn producers

Essential Duties

• Plans and organizes daily activities related to corn production and operations
• Measures productivity by analyzing performance data financial data and activity reports
• Coordinates with other support departments such as HR, logistics, production and quality to ensure successful operations
• Handles coaching and corrective actions for staff as needed in accordance with company policy
• Organizes and overseas the schedule and workload of assigned staff that's
• Performance evaluations on a timely manner and consecutively
• Ensures compliance of safety for all staff and equipment
• Ensures all corn received is up to corporate standards and ensues quality
• Assist with budgets preparation for corn operations department local and abroad
• Assist with or prepares operational updates related to manuals, SOPs or policies
• Performs additional duties in relation to corn local and as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education: Bachelos degree in Agronomy, BM, BA, BSm, Plant Soil, Agriculture; MBA preferred but not required.

Certifications: Basic Supervisor Training, HACCp. GMPs. ICPM preferred.

Experience: 5 plus years in agricultural or Food Manufacturing Industry, preferable.
