Our plant in New Brighton, Minnesota is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager manages all warehousing functions to provide and deliver to the customer’s satisfaction, a quality product and service within established financial and quality controls for shipping, receiving, physical warehousing.

 

  • Directs the coordination of all Finished Goods and Raw/Packaging Materials Warehouse functions to ensure compliance with the Company’s Vision and Mission Statements;
  • Promotes plant safety through participation on the Safety Sub-committee, education of employees, compliance to the safety programs and incentives;
  • Leads by example through working in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements, and providing a safe work environment for all plant employees;
  • Promotes Food Safety through participation of Food Safety Sub Committee, Food Defense Team, HACCP, Internal Auditing, and Traceability Team;
  • Participates, promotes and trains Warehouse Supervisors Leads in the use of Lean manufacturing tools in the warehouse activities to improve the overall functions of the warehouse (Accuracy, Error proofing, cost reductions in all areas soils rotation etc,);
  • Participates, promotes and trains Warehouse Supervisors, Leads in the 5S methodology and leads the full deployment of these practices into the warehouse culture;
  • Is responsible to bring to the Warehouse Department World Class Manufacturing and Lean initiatives and create a culture of continuous improvement through employee performance measurement in key activities. Conducts Kaizen activities to increase the over performance of the warehouse operation;
  • Responsible to implement performance tracking systems for Supervisors, Leads and Hourly warehouse employees;
  • Ensure all physical warehousing facilities meet “AIB” Superior standard at all times;
  • Ensure the schedule is synchronized with customer order deliveries, product on time, organized for production, and is efficient as possible within the constraints of the order/shipment schedule;
  • Responsible for proper and timely receipt and handling of raw materials, packaging, an finished goods, and supplies from vendors to ensure material levels meet the needs of the customer with out excess levels that exceed the warehouse space for materials;
  • Responsible for supplying the production department with the proper raw, packaging materials from the inventory in a timely fashion that enables a smooth flow of production according to the schedule;
  • Responsible for properly accepting finished goods from production into the inventory;
  • Store, rotate, and ship finished goods to customer on time including posting and invoicing;
  • Maintain an accurate inventory and closing on a Weekly/Monthly basis in SAP system for both the Finished Goods and Receiving warehouses;
  • Maintain the materials handling equipment and the physical warehouse facilities;
  • Account for the flow of reusable plastic trays, totes, and white plastic boxes by utilizing effectively the RFID tracking system as materials are sent to the Distributors and returned to the facility;
  • Responsible for the daily and weekly tracking of Service to Sales (Order Fill and Case Fill Rates) in coordination with the Plant Manager;
  • Responsible for both the Shipping/Receiving warehouse budgets; and
  • Responsible for the overall hiring and training of warehouse personnel.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelors degree in business management, logistics, engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Requires one year of experience in the following:

 

  • Warehousing or logistics/supply chain management;
  • Quality systems and programs;
  • Process and inventory controls;
  • Team management/leadership/development; and
  • Budget preparation and cost analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing and delivering against the hiring plan, building and maintaining pipelines of candidates aligned to the Company’s needs.
  • Contribute to the development of overall sourcing channel strategy for the recruiting and selection.
  • Utilize creative staffing/recruitment/sourcing strategies of active and passive candidates.
  • Partner with HR Managers, Hiring Managers and Department Heads to determine requirements for open positions and identify qualified candidates.
  • Work with Hiring Managers to determine interview work flow, interview questions and coach Managers as needed.
  • Review and analyze resumes.
  • Contact and prescreen candidates.
  • Provide recommended applicants to Hiring Managers/HR Managers.
  • Actively source job candidates utilizing various job search websites and social media platforms for potential recruits.
  • Create and maintain candidate pipeline for key positions.
  • Partner with management for on campus and career fair recruiting strategies.
  • Introduce applicants to the company and explain the hiring process.
  • Monitor the job market and prepare analysis as requested.
  • Operate in compliance with all local, state and federal laws as well as Company policy and compliance standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
