Our plant in Mountain Top, PA  is looking for an experienced Plant Manager. The Plant Manager oversees and leads the Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, Receiving, Quality Control, Human Resources, and Shipping Departments, ensuring adherence to established good manufacturing practices. They drive the production of high-quality products that meet or surpass customer and company standards in a safe environment, while maintaining costs, efficiencies, and volume targets at or above budgeted levels.

 

Plant Manager Responsibilities

  • Directs the coordination of all manufacturing departments’ functions to ensure compliance with Company objectives, Quality Systems, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Assists in establishing quality specifications and ensures all plant employees meet them.
  • Promotes plant safety through education of employees, directing safety committee, creation of safety programs and incentive.
  • Services sales at 100% service goal.
  • Establishes, maintains, and strives to improve productivity standards.
  • Prepares annual manufacturing budget.
  • Analyzes costs of plant improvements.
  • Actively participates in preparing the plant’s strategic operating plan.
  • Serves as communication conduit between upper management and plant.
  • Executes projects as directed by Vice-President of Manufacturing.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
  • Provides suggestions to improve process, procedures, and department in support of company goals.
  • Verifies GMP’s and Safety standards.
  • Ensures compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.

Requires three years of experience in the following:

  1. Budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
  2. Manufacturing and production processes, including equipment operation, maintenance, and optimization.
  3. Strategic management including initiatives to optimize operations and enhance long term performance.
  4. Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  5. Risk management including the identification, assessment and mitigation of risks associated with operations and implementing effective risk management strategies.
  6. Implementing organizational development processes to foster continuous improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
