Gruma Corporation has an opening for Maintenance Manager in Mountain Top, PA. Direct, plan, control and monitor the overall operation of the maintenance department. Ensure the continuous ability of the equipment to service our customers while maintaining high standards in quality, food safety, and safety and meeting the department’s budget. Develop, implement and oversee plans to accomplish departmental goals and objectives as per budget. Directly supervise Maintenance Supervisors. Conduct annual performance appraisals for supervisors. Perform safety and sanitation audits. Participate as an active member in the safety, quality and food safety committees. Conduct training sessions for the department employees as needed, including safety training, food safety and technical among others. Purchase all materials required for the operation of the department including safety equipment. Participate in the safety committee meetings and participate in special safety assignments. Report any accidents and/or illnesses within 24 hours and perform accident investigation following the Company’s protocol. Conduct safety training for new hires. Maintain documentation of all training activities. Monitor and ensure work order system operates effectively (ensure safety, food safety and other operational work orders are addressed promptly). Enforce all company policies, procedures and regulations. Ensure equipment performs in a safety manner and complies with all the OSHA regulations. Collaborate in the development of the department budget and productivity parameters once per year. Prepare written reports for management. Deliver oral presentations as requested by upper management. Develop and implement improvements and changes in the work instructions, job descriptions and training needs. Keep employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunity for advancement. Maintain and improve the preventive maintenance program, ensuring the preventive maintenance scheduled is followed accordingly. Ensure all plant equipment is properly maintained per manufacturer recommendations and in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule. Establish and maintain productivity standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
Requires two years of experience in the following:
- Developing and testing electrical, control, and automation machinery in production and manufacturing plant environments;
- Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs;
- Establishing and maintaining productivity standards;
- Reading and analyzing electrical diagrams;
- Installing, programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives and all types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment;
- Installing and repairing electrical conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding;
- Disassembling, repairing and reassembling gear boxes, fans conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment related to electrical troubleshooting;
- Providing training in safety, operations preventative maintenance, productivity, company standards and procedures, and occupational safety regulations and compliance.
- Staff management.
- Project management.
