Under supervision, maintain clean and well organized multiple offsite logistic service centers from a supply chain and food safety perspective for proper and accurate completion of all orders. Implement modifications to operating policies that improve service levels, while continuously reviewing cost avoidance/reduction opportunities.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

LOGISTICS INSPECTIONS / AUDITS (Travel 60% of time)

 

  • Inspect and Audit offsite unmanned warehouses 3 times a year to ensure compliance with Mission Food’s and health regulations.
  • Maintain records for unmanned warehouse inspections and audits, health permits, company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations for unmanned warehouses.
  • Contact and coordinate vendors needed for repairs to the unmanned warehouse and to keep the facility in food grade conditions.

 

MER AUDITS

 

  • Participate on the MER audit and provide all information needed.
  • Follow up on any opportunity item identified during the MER Audit.

 

PEST CONTROL

 

  • Act as a Logistcs Point of Contact for the Pest Control Company and assure that any recommendations from the Pest Control Company are addressed promptly.

 

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

 

  • Guarantee that the Building (inside & outside) is on a Food Grade Conditions.
  • White perimeter line, seals on doors, no wall holes anywhere, no grass next to the building, etc. Assist in generating and distributing weekly RPC reports to Sales management for Northern California.

 

BUILDING ORGANIZATION

 

  • Guarantee that the facility is operating on an orderly and organized way (in collaboration with the Sales Team).
  • Make sure that Indep. Distributors areas are well delineated, no old product is being left on the floor, no old Point of Sale (POS) is accumulating, etc.

 

VIDEO SECURITY SYSTEM

 

  • Guarantee that the Video Security System is working correctly and it is accessible from remote.
  • Monitor on a weekly basis thru the Video Security System the conditions of the unmanned warehouse.

 

RETURNABLE PACKAGING (RP) SYSTEM

 

  • Guarantee in coordination with the Sales Team that the empty RP Preparation Guidelines are being followed.
  • Provide the Sales Team with a weekly report of the RP status of each Independent Distributors.

 

MONTHLY UNMANNED LOCATIONS MEETING

 

  • Participate on the Monthly Meeting to provide an update on all the Unmanned Facilities under his/her responsibility.
  • Work closely with the Mission Foods Real Estate Team on the following activities:
  • Coordinate with the landlord and Tenant Improvements needed.
  • Help with the initial assessment / inspection of new or relocation buildings and coordinate this assessment / inspection with the Sales, Transportation and QA areas.
  • the with Sales Team in maintaining the POS material area clean and organized for unmanned warehouses.
  • Meet with regulartory agencies such as OSHA, FDA and State Department of Health inspections/visits. Report all visits inspections prior to completion of to visits to your Regional Logistics Director or Regional Logistics Manager for unmanned warhouses.
  • Monitor and guarantee the compliance to the Budget for the unmanned Location.
  • Act as a backup for Warehouse Supervisor position when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned/required.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years in distribution experience.  Food distribution experience preferred.  Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
  • Experience with Quality Systems and programs.
  • Continuous Improvement experience.
  • SAP – supply chain module/application.
