Our corporate headquarters in Irving, TX is looking for an experienced Supply Chain and Planning Manager. The Supply Chain and Planning Manager leads the strategic planning and execution of the entire supply chain. They will transform the business into a make-to-stock model guided by our MRP system. This role involves creating, leading, and executing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring production and supply plans align with organizational goals for efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain and operations processes.
- Utilize historical data (sales cubes) to validate the forecast demand for the products.
- Develop production plans and inventory strategies to meet customer needs while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
- Work closely with sales, production, warehouse, and logistic teams to ensure alignment of demand forecasts with business objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels, replenishment lead times, and stock-out risks to ensure adequate supply to meet demand.
- Coordinate the correct creation of the transfers to the distribution centers and plants to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Ensures proper MRP setup for all materials in all locations to permit their correct operation.
- Execute and monitors the MRP/MPS in SAP system.
- Anticipate and address training needs for the team, implementing programs to enhance employee skills and ensure operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related supply chain/procurement role. Requires two years of experience in the following:
- Planning and directing supply chain or procurement activities.
- Coordinating inventory control to maintain adequate stock levels and support timely product delivery.
- Working with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with operational needs.
- Contributing to process improvements that enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinating logistics or supply chain functions, including the flow of materials from procurement through warehousing to final delivery.
- SAP implementation and management.
