Under limited supervision, be responsible for assisting the Manager, Corporate Procurement with functions critical to the function of the Procurement Department. Provide support to the Sourcing Team as needed to get vendors set up in the system and maintain pricing and contracts.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with managing the AMEX program for Mission Foods USA. Second level support for Purchasing Clerks with any internal opportunities that may arise within the AMEX reporting.
  • Provide AMEX reporting for all active vendors under the AMEX card program.
  • Provide CAR Upload to Finance Team on a monthly basis to ensure timely payments of all AMEX cards under the Mission Foods program.
  • Assist with all contract management in ARIBA and SAP ensuring the pricing is correct and quantities are updated in a timely fashion.
  • Work with the New Products Coordinator to ensure that vendors and internal departments are completed in the system to ensure a smooth purchase of the materials.
  • Assist as the liaison for internal and external customers as ARIBA first level support for vendor set-up questions.
  • Act as back-up support and after hours support for the Procurement Administration Team.
  • Assist with Internal Auditing process including gathering information and updating the Manager, Corporate Purchasing of any findings to complete the annual audit.
  • Create, organize and report on all administrative duties as requested by the Manager, Corporate Purchasing.
  • Support to accounts payable for all invoice and pricing issues to ensure timely payments to all vendors avoiding any potential credit hold issues or defaults.
  • Assist manager with budget preparation on an annual basis to ensure that budgets are input accurately.
  • Monthly budget reporting to ensure that invoices, contracts and purchase orders are in line with the procurement plan.

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of purchasing experience.

* Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Experience analyzing trends.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Ability to prepare bids, requests for quotes, and proposals in compliance with policies.
  • Computer skills.
