Mobile Computer & Legacy Applications Support

This position designs, develops and supports mobile and legacy applications aligned to the current and future objectives of the company by following best practices, policies and procedures established by GRUMA. The position actively participates in hardware reception, preparation and deployment. On-site position located in Irving, Texas.

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, user-friendly applications
  • Review functional requirements and develop, test, and enhance various web, mobile, or desktop-based applications
  • Work with SQL queries to retrieve and process data from a data warehouse
  • Hands-on Hardware reception, preparation and deployment.
  • Provide technical support to end users on Hand Held Computer applications / hardware problems.
  • Record & maintain accurate mobile computer hardware inventory using our internal tools.
  • Support and train users, with diverse skill sets and personalities, on the developed tools/applications and new hardware
  • Travel 25% of the time and for longer periods when required.
  • Performs other duties as required

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field required.  Open to 0-3 years of relevant experience in Mobile computers configuration, develop and support applications in an IT environment.

Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Software development experience in Microsoft.NET and MobileFrame.
  • Experience using mobile hardware MDM’s such as Soti & 42Gears
  • User experience in SAP, SAP Ariba & ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with Mobile computers, printers and tablets.
  • Experience creating and consuming APIs a plus.
  • SQL experience preferred, ideally MySQL, with the ability to write complex and efficient SQL queries.
  • Critical thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Effective collaboration with diverse skill sets and personalities.
  • Customer first mindset.
