Associate Brand Manager - Snacks

The Associate Brand Manager will be a key contributor to the National Brand team supporting the development and execution of campaigns and snacks product launches nationally, including chips, salsas, and dips. This position will also conduct general Marketing analyses to provide recommendations on how to improve the processes, efficiency, and results of select Marketing campaigns online and in stores.   • Perform Marketing analysis to identify and quantify opportunities for the profitable growth of products in the current chips and salsas portfolio and new products to be developed.
  • Execute insights-based plans to drive brand preference and accelerate business growth by effectively using market research data and competitive intelligence.
  • Analyze in-market and online programs performance and effectiveness to identify best practices and areas of opportunity.
  • Develop and implement Brand Marketing campaigns working with Brand leads, Sales, and Marketing agency.
  • Support brands positioning and communication, including assets development and rollout based on consumer segmentation.
  • Manage relationships and communication with external agencies and other vendors to execute Marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales organization to ensure corporate objectives are met and that strategies and programs are effectively implemented. 
  • Work cross-functionally with internal business units including R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to ensure product cost, quality, and sales goals are met.
  • Support the launch of new products and updates to Mission and Guerrero brands.
  • Coordinate packaging development and updates, including technical and legal reviews.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of Marketing investments through rigorous ROI and program analysis.
  • Help develop and refine Marketing briefs.
  • Manage brands’ budgets to ensure adherence with overall Marketing and corporate spend.
  • Take on special snacks projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a minimum of two years of Marketing experience in Brand Management in consumer package goods required. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Experience in CPG food products development and Marketing campaigns in-store and online.
  • Working experience in the chips and snacks market preferred.
  • Work requires exposure to the design and execution Marketing, communications, and public relations activities.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of retail consumer as well as consumer insights.
  • Marketing, advertising, communications, production and promotion processes knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with AC Nielsen databases and reporting metrics.
  • Sensitivity and creative approach to multi-cultural Marketing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Marketing and Finance concepts, P&L management, pricing, and distribution cost analysis.
  • Proven record in managing and meeting volume and profit targets through creative Marketing of existing and new product lines.
  • Strong creative, strategic and analytical skills.
