Receiving Manager

This position maintains the control and distribution of all raw and packaging material. Ensure proper and accurate management of all materials while maintaining a safe, clean work environment in the receiving floor and yard.
- Develops and manages employee-training programs, including monthly audits for compliance.
- Complies and keeps administrative requirements current: inspections, CAR's, consumer/customer complaints, service failures, safety, food safety, CQI open items, cost and other management reports.
- Participate in developing the operational budget. Rresponsible for monitoring that budget is met providing management with a monthly variance report as requested.
- Manages all receiving area operations (examples) safety program, food safety, food security, product recall, inventory control, etc.), in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintains records and ensure department compliance with all Federal and State regulations: SPCC, SWPP, OSHA, Labor Law, etc.
- Monitors the receiving yard area to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations: SPCC, SWPP, OSHA, etc. Report any noted violations immediately.
- Maintains up to date records for all plant programs: HACCP, Food Safety, Safety, Quality, Recall, etc.
- Maintains up to date records of obsolete inventories, damage materials and expedite disposition.
- Knowledge of all paperwork flow, deep knowledge of the “Recall Program” including gathering the information required, generate the reports needed and distribute to the appropriate departments.
- Coordinates all material requirements with purchasing.
- Weekly and monthly analysis of materials inventories, including tracking weekly usages, inventory levels, normal/max, manufacturing upcoming forecasts, promotions, etc.
- Responsible for keeping materials inventories at safety usage level.
- Uses food safety practices ensuring no material or product is contaminated as a consequence of material handling by this position.
- Provides accurate monthly inventories of raw and packaging materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business, or related field required. 5 years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics/Shipping required. Bakery or food/beverage environment preferred. With a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity in a logistics/manufacturing environment required. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above. #ZR
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Extensive experience in warehouse/logistics management roles with proven track record in leading teams to improve continuously the efficiency of methods.
- Experience and exposure to regulatory inspections (AIB, OSHA, MILITARY, Health Dept., EPA, City & County Inspectors).
- Experience with Quality Systems and Programs
- Lean Manufacturing Theory, (Preferred)
- Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Team management/leadership/development skills, including the ability to manage people in an organization matrix and get the best out of them, successful in building and mentoring high performance teams.
- Maturity, self-confidence, and strong communication skills will be critical for this role.
- A multicultural approach to operating in a diverse business environment. Comfortable communicating and operating within an internationally matrixed environment.
- Budget preparation and Cost analysis
- SAP & Kronos knowledge preferred.
- Effectively communicate in Spanish and English both verbal and written (desirable depending on region)
- Be able to walk long distances and to be on his/her feet for long periods of time.
- Able to work in dusty, noisy, hot, cold, and small areas.
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
- Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English).
Salary Range: $89,000.00 - $93,000.00 plus $7,000.00 annual bonus
