Senior Category Sales Analyst

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining and managing analytics to provide the Region sales team with sales data, analysis and recommendations to guide and facilitate sales efforts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative retailer solutions based on consumer insights to drive Retailer and Mission Foods goals and objectives.
- Deliver ongoing category management reporting and development of “Category Management Sales Stories” for the sales team to use.
- Provide the Region’s sales team with sales data, analysis and recommendations to guide and facilitate sales efforts.
- Create suggested store level and regional schematics/modulars.
- Assists in the management, development and execution of category strategies in alignment with National and Retail account priorities.
- Assists in the development of category analysis templates for use by the sales teams.
- Provides fact-based Fair Share Space analysis.
- Organizing and administering weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual category reports.
- Assists Region Vice President with developing major sales presentations including business reviews and strategic plans.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of related industry experience, category management experience. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
- Expertise utilizing Retail Link, AC Nielsen, IRI, Empower, Info Retriever, Spectra, and Market Track for managing analytics.
- Competencies in MS Office applications with emphasis in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and Access (relationships, queries, forms).
- Knowledge and familiarity with Category Management Best Practices.
- Work requires experience and working knowledge of Pro Space, Apollo, or other related modular/schematic building software.
- Work requires ability to draw conclusions, prioritize and address key opportunities.
- Work requires interpersonal, communication and analytic skills. Strong presentation skills and PowerPoint skills.
- Work requires the ability to closely work with members of the sales management team to develop customer strategies and project work delivering profitable sales growth.
- Work requires ability to work in conditions which include multiple and conflicting priorities, extended work schedules and specific time constraints.
- Work prefers DSD experience with a major CPG company.
- Work requires the ability to travel as needed.
