Azteca Milling LP, the producer of MASECA, is a division of Gruma Corporation. With over 60 years of experience Gruma is the world's largest producer of corn masa flour. Azteca Milling L.P. has an immediate opening for a Tortilla Sales Director at Atlanta GA, as a home office.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining sales in a region or trade area.  Manage the execution of the sales plans through subordinate managers.

 

  • Determine and set the strategic and tactical growth plans to identify and explore current and future corn-flour sales opportunities for the region or trade area.
  • Manage the execution of the sales plans though subordinate sales managers.
  • Apply experience with corn nixtamalization, cooking, and milling processes to persuasively explain to prospective customers the advantages of corn flour over cooked corn when manufacturing tortillas and chips.
  • Determine feasibility of fulfilling product requests by evaluating capabilities of corn tortilla and corn tortilla chip manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Identify productivity and efficiency standards for new and existing customers that use corn tortilla chip manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Identify and analyze competitors and their business practices.  Investigate areas where we can be the customer of choice.
  • Make budget sales projections and presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Be a great communicator within the company and with customers, and everyone involve in the supply chain.
  • Forecasting Sales Demand, customer running rates, and seasonality of Products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. 8 years of sales experience in the food industry. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

  • Knowledge of Hispanic market products.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Strong computer Skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • Able to travel approximately 70% to maintain and service the customer base and generate additional business.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
